Dark chocolate banana cinnamon cake

I’m always up for a big, moist cake as a back-to-school snack! With bananas, chocolate and cinnamon that will perfume the whole house, it’s a delight. It’s ready for the oven in just a few minutes, but you’ll need a little patience before devouring it, as it bakes for 1h30.

For a cake :

  • 225g salted butter
  • 90g neutral oil
  • 190g of brown sugar
  • 5 large eggs (250g total weight without shells)
  • 210g whole milk
  • 290g of flour
  • 6g of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 250g banana flesh (about 3 bananas)
  • 150g chocolate chunks or chips

Melt the butter, then add the oil and brown sugar.

Mix well, then add the eggs and milk.

Mix, then add the flour, baking powder and cinnamon powder.

Peel and chop the bananas.

Pour in the banana flesh and chocolate chips and mix one last time.

Pour into a buttered and floured 30cm-long cake tin or circular mould as shown here.

Bake for 1H30 at 150°C.

Cake banane chocolat noir cannelle

  • Faites fondre le beurre puis versez l’huile et la cassonade.
  • Mélangez bien puis ajoutez les œufs et le lait.
  • Mélangez puis versez la farine, la levure chimique et la cannelle en poudre.
  • Épluchez et coupez les bananes en morceaux.
  • Versez la chair de banane et les pépites de chocolat et mélangez une dernière fois.
  • Versez dans un moule beurré et fariné à cake de 30cm de longueur ou un moule circulaire comme ici.
  • Faites cuire 1H30 à 150°C. À déguster au goûter ou au petit déjeuner.
